ROLFING Structural Integration With AIDAN TREAYS
at Blue Moon in Glastonbury

Opens November 3 & 4 2025
Monthly or twice monthly sessions to experience
the ten sessions of The Rolfing process.

It is easy for me to imagine that the next great division
of the world will be between people who wish
to live as creatures and people who wish to live as machines.
WENDELL BERRY.

What is Rolfing – Structural Integration?

Rolfing is a form of hands-on manipulation and movement education.

It works on the web like network of connective tissue called fascia to release, realign and balance the whole body.

The process takes place over a course of ten sessions. Spread out over several months.

Rolfing has a transformative effect, supporting you to feel energised, revitalised and more at home in your body.

Rolfing treats chronic pain and old injuries, neck and back pain pain, hip and joint pain and misalignments following surgary.

As a Rolfer I provide a therapeutic space for clients to release and come to terms with difficult experiences from their past.
This may include traumatic experiences like childhood abuse; emotional, psycholgical, physical and sexual.

Rolfing provides a gentle body based process to uncover and release tensions in the fascia and find new ways to move and be in the world. Complex issues including emotional regulation, body image issues and eating disorders, anxiety, depression, low self esteem, can all be addressed through the journey of the ten Rolfing sessions.

Clients learn about interoception; becoming aware of their internal state, and how to regulate and organise their body to maintain equilibrium.

If you are interested in sessions and curious to find out more my advise would be to try one session first and see how you feel. After one session you may then feel happy to commit to the Ten series but may want to just commit to a mini series of 3 sessions and then make a decision after that. Usually after one session people are clear whether it’s a good fit and if Rolfing is what they are looking for. A mini series of 3 sessions addresses the surface levels of the body to ease pain and heal injuries but the ten series reaches the core structures of the body and provides a deeper and more integrated process.

As technology makes humans less and less embodied, disconnecting us from our wild nature, the importance of healing our trauma and coming back into an intimate relationship with each other and the earth and heavens becomes vital work for our collective health and well being.

AIDAN TREAYS – about me

I have over 10 years experience working a Rolfer.

Prior to this I was Head Of Movement at Drama Studio London. My background is in dance. I trained at Elmhurst ballet School. I worked in the West End and internationally as a dancer, circus performer and choreographer and director. I am also a practitioner and teacher of Tensegrity (shamanic movements from the Toltec lineage) Chi Gong and Deep Embodiment.

I started to really feel alive and connected when I went through the Rolfing process. Experiencing Rolfing supported me deeply in processing and releasing my own childhood trauma which was hidden under the surface. Through this work I have found a more authentic and more connected way of being.

Over my ten years as a Rolfer I have fine tuned my capacities to work with trauma and recovery from abuse of all kinds.

An open heart, a deep listening and commitment to the bodies innate wisdom are the key elements I consistently rely on in my work.

I live in Blackheath in SE London and in Lolivarie, the rural Dordogne region of SW France, where I am often found in the river, searching for wild orchids or deep in caves.
